Sustainable vision and environmental responsibility

Perutnina Ptuj believes that sustainability is the key to the future. That''s why they have introduced certified chicken-friendly farming (PPR) and antibiotic-free breeding to ensure higher animal welfare standards. In addition, in 2022, they have drawn up a plan to install 10 MWp of solar power plants by 2027 to increase the share of renewable energy and reduce their carbon footprint.

They are working towards transformational and lasting change through a holistic approach to sustainability that includes social, environmental and economic stewardship. Since 2012, their biogas plant has been converting organic waste into biogas and fertiliser, reducing waste and contributing to a circular economy.

Every step that Perutnina Ptuj takes is aimed at sustainability. By continuously investing in environmental projects, renewable energy sources and improving working conditions for employees, they are creating a better future for all. In 2023, they invested EUR 53 million at Group level, of which EUR 24 million in Slovenia, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable development.
